View the WORK IN MY PROJECTS tutorial videos

The self-help video tutorials are worth viewing.
I'm especially recommending tutorials about getting started working in your projects. From the Base Camp home page select the Navigating Base Camp blue tile button and the click the "Work in my Projects"

Each of topics that are listed will give you an option to launch it.  It will then open in a new window as your main window then goes to your Transcript.  The top option, "Work in My Projects Overview" is actually an interactive module where you can watch each of those listed in the set.

When launching "Work in My Projects Overview", you'll get an icon for a menu.  When you click it, the list will expand and you can select one.  When you click that name, your display will provide a description and then a link to get to a video for that subject.

When you click that link for the tutorial, it will open a panel for you to continue, then the video will start playing.  When the video is complete, you'll get the option to return to the interactive set.

I recommend that you view each of these tutorials. I think it best to view these before you go into your transcript.  That probably isn't going to happen because you'll want to jump into your transcript right away.  If you've had any challenges getting started with Pathways, these videos will help alleviate your confusion. In my last post I recommended that someone demonstrate how you navigate your transcript in Base Camp before you start. If that happened, these videos represent the material that would be covered. If you didn't get a demo beforehand, here it is.  Now that you know it is here, you can recommend them to anyone else that is just starting out in Pathways.

You could choose any one of the video tutorials independently from the list under the "Work in my Projects" tile.  Use that option when you just want to see the one video because it will return you to the transcript page when done; you would have to return to the home page and then the Navigating Base Camp tile again to reach another video topic from the list.

These videos are short and sweet.  They are well constructed with highlights and screen zoom.
  • Accessing Your Path demonstrates key items in your transcript and selecting your curriculum.
  • Launching a Project goes deeper demonstrating selecting your Ice Breaker from level 1.  It includes the vital message of expanding your project window to see the navigation arrows on the sides.
  • Completing the Assess Your Skills—Before Activity gets into the consistency for every project including the score card you fill out as you begin a project.
  • Printing a Project and Resources demonstrates how you generate a PDF to print all or a portion of your project and other documents.
  • Completing a Project demonstrates the key to self-closure of a project in completing the Assess Your Skills-After.  You see how the Launch button changes text to Evaluate indicating you can provide feedback to Toastmasters about the project.
  • Selecting and Completing Elective Projects is for Level 3+ and good to see ahead.
  • Searching and Browsing on Base Camp is a good reminder about using the Search Box.
The "Work in My Projects Overview" tutorial can be found in different ways. There is even a link to it from the paragraph at the top of your Education Transcript.  It can be found from the Tutorials and Resources page and you can find it via the search box.

The basic information in these tutorials will help you get comfortable with the Learning Management System platform for Base Camp that serves you for every project in Pathways.
